Originally from Russia, Sofya Chalik is a Sydney based singer-songwriter.

Since winning Senior and Overall Winner in the Hills Shire 2017 "Zest Quest" talent competiton, Sofya's name has been a buzzword on radio and newspapers such as The Hills News, Farm Online and Hills District Independent.

Many of Sofya's songs are written with the intention of healing and awakening, an incentive that's reinforced in her motto; "Changing the world one song at a time.".

A passionate performer, Sofya can be found attracting an audience on the street with her guitar and ukulele.
With the help of her loop pedal, Sofya has achieved a unique sound that is often mistaken for a full band due to the layers of harmonies, melodies, beatboxing and rhythmic patterns.

Reflective of her eclectic nature, Sofya's musical style can't be defined into a genre.
Infused with acoustic rock, folk, alt. rock,  country, reggae, jazz and edm vibes, her sound has often been described as "ethereal" and "hypnotic". Some of Sofya's influences include The Beatles, Jack Johnson, Rising Appalachia, Matt Corby, Alt J, John Mayer, Crooked Colors, Ed Sheeran, Hippie Sabotage, Lana Del Rey and Alice Phoebe Lou.

Recently, Sofya has collaborated with electronic producer/composer duo "Maslips", featuring on their EPs "Steps of Snow Fairy" and "Can We Drink Another". Sofya was also a supporting act for Nathalie Bassingthwaite and The Rouge Traders in the Bella Vista Farm Australia Day event.
