Ben Jansz

Ben Jansz is an Australian multi-instrumentalist from the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Given his first guitar at the age of 10, he has always aspired to create and share his music with the world. At the age of 16, he acquired his first residency and continued ever since. Now he lives semi-nomadically around the Northern Rivers after touring the East Coast in 2015.

By collaborating with singer/songwriter, Ben Taggart and percussionist, Michael Aragon (The Bengel Tigers), he went on to tour under the pseudonym, Lions Eye. After breaking back away to record his first solo EP, Follow Your Feet, Ben came to support one his greatest influences, Kim Churchill and has since toured Australia and New Zealand supporting other artists like Thirsty Merc and Josh Pyke and continues to tour the East Coast of Australia, performing at festivals and venues.

Ben Jansz' sound can be described as Aussie Roots/Forest Folk with elements of Organic Tribal Trance. Influenced by musical icons such as John Butler, Kim Churchill, Xavier Rudd, Ben Howard, and Matt Corby, he has been said to combine some of their most impressionable qualities with his own captivating vocals and skilful use of multiple instruments, creating the irreplicable Ben Jansz sound.

With his new Album release Live at Baha exclusive to Bandcamp, Ben Jansz invites you to come and immerse yourselves in this journey of self-reflection and fiery expression.
